Treat unsolicited recovery offers carefully
Someone may claim to be an investigator, regulator or recovery specialist and ask for a fee, tax payment or account access. Verify the identity independently before sharing anything or paying.
- Do not grant remote access to your device.
- Do not share passwords, one-time codes or wallet recovery phrases.
- Use official agency websites to contact the organization directly.
Focus on records and official channels
Contact your financial institution promptly. Preserve original communications and a timeline of events. Report suspected securities fraud to the SEC and internet-enabled fraud to IC3. Consider independent legal advice about options and time limits.
- A complaint does not guarantee compensation.
- Keep copies and reference numbers for your own records.
- Our contact form does not file an official complaint or arrange recovery.

Check current documents before making a decision. SEC review and a regulatory filing are not endorsements of an investment. This guide provides general education, not advice about your circumstances.
